Fabulously Festive - My Way to Wear! #2

First of all: A very merry Christmas to all of you! It's time for the Ways to Wear Challenge once again. It's the second time around and I'm excited to see what all the other faboulous women will wear for this one. The theme is "Fabulously Festive" and I decided to show you what I'll be wearing tonight - even though I just showed you this outfit recently. Anyway! I love it and I'll be wearing it for Christmas eve, however I guess I'll leave the lipstick out, because my grandparents don't really understand why we don't just go for the natural look (and then, when I don't use make-up they tell me I look sick....). And yes: I didn't wear shoes when we took the pictures, 'cause I won't be wearing shoes on Christmas eve either!

As a part of this challenge Gemma asked us to tell a bit about how we'll be celebrating Christmas. In the afternoon my mom, dad, sister and I will be going to Ribe (the oldest town of Denmark, I wrote about it here too). My grandparents live there and my aunt, uncle and cousins will be there too. We'll have afternoon coffee (that's how we do it in Denmark - no afternoon tea, even though that's probably exactly what I'll have) and just enjoy the afternoon together and maybe go to church. For dinner we'll have the usual (at least in our family): duck, different potatoes, gravy, different types of cabbage and of course rice pudding for dessert with an almond in it. The lucky one who gets the almond will win a small price. After dinner we'll dance around the Christmas tree (well... no rocking around it - we just take eachothers hands, walk around the tree in a circle and sing Christmas songs). And THEN we will open our presents!

On December 25th I'll probably meet up with some old, hometown friends in the evening and have "homecoming party" and on December 26th we're having a Christmas dinner with my dad's part of the family. I can't wait!

Måske kan I huske, at jeg for lidt tid siden postede mit første indlæg til "Ways To Wear Challenge"? Hvis ikke, så kan I se indlægget her og læse lidt mere om konceptet. Nu har Gemma fra Big Girls Browse fået samlet alle bidragene i et indlæg og det er virkelig sjovt og spændende at se, hvor mange forskellige og fine udgaver, der kan blive ud af samme tema.

Nu er det sådan, at der er en afstemning over på Big Girls Browse - hvem gjorde det bedst? Jeg synes, at alle gjorde det godt og jeg glæder mig allerede til næste omgang. Og nu synes jeg, at du skulle tage og smutte derover og stemme på din favorit. Hvis din favorit skulle være mig - så siger jeg tusind tak! I virkeligheden fortjener alle bare lige mange stemmer.

Gemma from Big Girls Browse has now recapped all of the entries in a post and it was fun to see the many different and beautiful outfits all made from the same theme. 

Now there's a vote at Big Girls Browse - who did the best job? Personally I think everyone did a great job and I can't wait for the next challenge to begin. I think you should go give your vote to your favourite. If your favourite happens to be me - thank you so much! However I really think everyone deserves an equal amount of votes.

The Little Black Dress - my way to wear!

Det her er mit første indlæg til "Ways to wear Challenge", som smukke Gemma fra Biggirlsbrowse.com står bag. Jeg synes det er virkelig sjovt, at få stukket et eller andet tema i hånden og finde ud af, hvordan man selv vil tolke det. Det er ikke mindst sjovt bagefter, når man kan se, hvordan andre tolker samme tema på helt forskellige måder! Derfor tøvede jeg ikke længe med at melde mig på denne udfordring. Der er ingen grænser for, hvem der må være med - og jeg er virkelig spændt på at se, de mange forskellige ideer til samme outfit-tema. 

This is my first entry to "Ways to wear Challenge", that is hosted by the beautiful Gemma at Biggirlsbrose.com. I think it's really fun to get handed a theme and then figure out what to do with it. And it's even more fun afterwards when you get to see what others did different things with the exact same theme. So I didn't hesitate long when I heard of this challenge. There are no limits as to who can join - and I'm really exicted to see the many different outfits of the same theme.

Ligeså spændt jeg var over at deltage i udfordringen, ligeså lettet blev jeg altså, da jeg fandt ud af at månedens tema er "den lille sorte kjole" - for det er da noget, man har i skabet i det mindste! Så var det jo bare, at vælge den ene, som skulle være med. De tiggede og bad allesammen pænt, men jeg endte ud med kjolen med de fine perler på skuldrene. Selvom jeg går meget i sort tøj, så synes jeg altså også, at det hele kan blive lidt for sort (jo, det kan jeg faktisk godt!), så derfor snuppede jeg lige vinterrøde strømpebukser på og en af mine elskede halskæder fra ladybirdlikes.com. 

Even though I was really excited about taking part in this challenge, I was also very relieved when I found out that the theme of the month was "The little black dress" - 'cause that's something you just have in your closet! Then the challenge was narrowed down to picking one - they all begged to be part of it, but I ended up with this dress with the pretty shoulders. Even though I often wear black clothes I also think it can get too dark (yes, I can!), so I paired up with winter red tights and my beloved butterfly necklace from ladybirdlikes.com. 

Vinden var en lidt voldsom fætter i dag og den ville i hvert fald gerne lege med. Til min store overraskelse, som I kan se på billederne nedenfor. Jeg kunne ikke stoppe med at grine, da jeg så billederne - de siger det hele. Så jeg tænkte, at jeg lige kunne sende et grin med jeres vej. Hvis I ellers kan se det sjove i det. Ellers står jeg bare her og ser dum ud.

The wind wanted to play along today. Much to my surprise as you can see on the pictures below. I couldn't stop laughing and so I thought I could send a little laughter your way too. If you think it's funny, that is... Well... I you don't I'll just be standing here looking like an idiot. An windblown idiot.

Men øh... Jeg fik da kontrol over situationen igen! Uden billeder af min popo endda.

But... I got the situation under control again! And we didn't get any pictures of my behind.
