As I told you we "had" to go to the Food Festival again on Sunday. It was probably the last day of summer and we enjoyed it outside with a lot of great tastings - and quite expensive hotdogs. The Food Festival hosted the Danish Championship in hotdog making and the profits was given to charity. They were really nice and mine was made by people and with products from the area I grew up in and I was quite homesick when I ate it - the bread came from the baker my grandmother used to buy bread from.
Tapas inspired by southern Jutland - black pudding, apple, local cheese, chocolate and the cake called "good advices". |
We tasted a lot of nice Danish drinks - here's apple cider. |
We felt inspired and happy (and full) when we went home. And we're already looking forward to next year. What did you do this weekend?
