OOTD: Out of bed

Jeg lå jo med influenza i sidste uge. I sengen fire dage i streg. Så da jeg endelig havde energi til at gå en tur i det fine vejr, kunne jeg ikke dy mig for at tage lidt læbestift på og virkelig komme af med pyjamasfølelsen. Outfittet her minder mig på en måde lidt om Beverly Hills. Min kæreste gav mig ret og sagde, at det mindede ham om Brandon.. Hmm? 

I was in bed for four days last week with the flu. So when I finally had the energy to go for a walk in the nice weather (where did it go?!) I felt like putting on a little lipstick and really leave the "pyjamas"-feeling at home. This outfit kind of reminds me of Beverly Hills. My boyfriend agreed but then said it reminded him of Brandon. Well...?

I dag er jeg begyndt på studiet igen og har været på café med gamle veninder. Og i aften skal jeg hygge med veninder fra mit studie. Det bliver godt! Hvad skal du lave?

Today I went back to my master-studies after a few weeks off. And I went to a café with some old friends. Tonight I'll hang out with most of my old study group from anthropology. It'll be great. What are you up to?

POD: Stylish Work Outfit

Så er årets første måned næsten gået og det er mandag, så det betyder at det er tid til månedes Plus Size Outfit Day - hvis du ikke har hørt om konceptet før, så kan du læse mere om det her. Da jeg hørte månedens tema tænkte jeg, at det ikke kunne blive alt for svært at komme op med et stilet arbejds-outfit - jeg arbejder trods alt i en tøjforretning. Men da jeg så kiggede mit skab igennem, blev jeg alligevel overrasket over, hvor meget hverdagstøj jeg har gået i på arbejde på det sidste. Da jeg startede med at stå i butik syntes jeg, at det var alletiders at være pænt klædt på hver gang. Nu er det bare rart med en praktisk sweatshirt - men hvem har egentlig sagt, at det ikke kan være stilet? 

Personligt er jeg ret glad for det her outfit. Jeg mener: Hvem kan ikke lide fred? Neon-detaljerne er ganske vist ret grænseoverskridende for mig, men jeg kan ret godt lide dem. Og så passer det også utroligt godt til "begge" mine jobs. Mit arbejde i butikken er kun et par gange i ugen - alle andre dage er jeg studerende. Perfekt til begge dele. 

The first year of the month has almost gone by and it's Monday which means it's time for the Plus Size Outfit Day - if you haven't heard about the concept before you can read more about it here. When I heard of the theme for this month I thought it wouldn't be too difficult to come up with a stylish outfit for work. I mean... I work in a clothing store. But that was until I took a look in my closet and realized that lately I've been buying casual clothes for casual days (and when I'm at work I need to wear clothes from work obviously). When I started working there I thought it was awesome to be able to dress up every time I went to work. Now, at least sometimes, I think it's really nice to be casual and practical in a comfy sweatshirt. But then again - who says that can't be stylish?

 Personally I really like this outfit. I mean... Who doesn't like peace? And even though the neon details are a new thing for me I really like them. And the outfit fits quite good for "both" of my jobs. My job in the store is just a few hours a week - all other days I' a student. Perfect for both.

OOTD: Where did all the flowers go?

 Here's what I wore when I went to my boyfriends father's birthday yesterday. We had a nice day with nice people, nice cakes and nice children. I'm so happy that my hair is long enough (finally!) to do something else than just leave it hanging. Wonder how long it will be before I'll cut it off again.

Last fall/winter I went crazy over these colours - and it seems it'll happen again this year. I'm so in love with the Dr. Martens boots and I'm desperately trying to figure out how to afford them. Also I'm planning on clicking the Asos dress home. I just can't quite figure out if I should go for the red or the black one. Time will show!

BFSC Wear a cropped top

I can't believe that after I post this, I only have one more challenge to do. The Big Fat Summer Challenge is coming to an end and I actually think it's kind of sad. I've been having so much fun with planning the outfits, pushing my comfort zone and getting inspired by all the other wonderful ladies taking part in the fun. I can't wait until Jennifer (or someone else?) will do another fall/winter/spring/summer/something-challenge. 

With this post I'll cross the cropped top of my list. Along with the two pieced bikini it send the biggest shivers down my spines and made me really nervous. I had an outfit planned in my head for quite a while, but couldn't get around to do it and then I stumpled across this top in H&M, fell in love with the colour (I've been wearing blue all summer...) and brought it home. 

At first I thought I would style it with my "Hi Lo"-skirt, but then I accidentally bought jeans as well... And a denim-jacket. Woops. So when I got back from work yesterday I did an outfit with the jeans and the top. The pictures didn't come out all that great, if you ask me, so today when I got back from work I did it with the skirt instead. And the denim jacket, because it is colder than yesterday! Apart from other shoes as well the rest is the same; same hair, same make-up, same nail-polish, same watch, same jewelry, same bag. Well, same me. And most importantly; same cropped top. And now I can't choose - so I'll show you both.

When I look at these pictures again I can't help to think, that maybe some shapewear would've done me good. But I do not own such a thing and then again... That's just how I look. I don't even really like wearing shapewear (based on the times I've tried them on...) and I won't buy one before I find one that feels comfortable. And then again; I really don't think shapewear should be mandatory just because you have wobbly bits.

 Okay... So even though I really like this top and it's very comfortable... After standing with my hands over my head I can't help to do this:

BFSC Wear something sleeveless

 I can't believe my arms are looking SO pale in these pictures. I mean... I know... I live in Denmark, but I just came home from Barcelona! And when I look at my arms in real life I feel quite sunkissed. I guess I was just REALLY white before, and now I'm just... well, a little less really white.

I brought the sun home with me and the weather man says it'll stay for a day more. Then the rain will come back. I'm the lucky one who's working the summer days away. But I' still trying to enjoy the sun as much as possible. This afternoon I went for a walk with my boyfriend dressed all in black. Maybe it isn't the best colour for summer days, but this outfit is very comfortable. At least most of the time - more on that in a moment...

I fell for the weaving of the top right away, unfortunately it's very hard to take a picture of it that shows it well. But for your information (and imagination) it's all small flowers, that are twisted into each other. However... I don't wear it all that often, because the fabric is also very "wrinkly". I can hardly wear it without it getting wierd, wrinkled lines all over and it doesn't exactly look good. I litterally took these pictures just after putting it on.

And here's the reason for all the wrinkles:

The top always curls up like that. So I walk around pulling it down all the time. But then... If I don't want to stand up all day and actually sit down it's crazy how much it wrinkles. Like this dress. And it's such a shame.

Anyway; Here are a few more pictures. I usually don't go around sleeveless, but when it's really hot during summer I really can't bother...

Jeg havde det her på, da jeg var i skole i går. Jeg synes, jeg har lidt travlt for tiden. Måske specielt fordi, der hele tiden kører tanker rundt i hovedet på mig om kandidatansøninger og fremtiden. Heldigvis er det påskeferie lige om lidt og jeg er så heldig, at jeg rent faktisk får ferie i år. Dejligt. Jeg regner med at tage hjem til min familie og slappe af der.

I wore this to school yesterday. I feel a bit busy at the moment. Especially because my thoughts are circulating around my application for my master at uni and the future. Stressful. Luckily Easter is just around the corner and this year I'm lucky enough to have a lot of days off. Lovely! I'm going home to my family to relax.
