Wish I was wearing: Welcome Spring

Skirt and t-shirt - Zizzi // Bag and sneakers - H&M // Earrings - Stine A // Nail Polish - Ciaté via Matas

English:
I love that Spring is showing it's wonderful face these days. I love my winter coats and my wool scarf, but there's just something magic about those first warm beams of sun light and the first days wearing spring jackets without getting cold. I also love how spring is all about fresher colours and today I would love to wear this. The t-shirt lives with me already and I'm considering letting the blue skirt move in to - it's just now available at Zizzi. Isn't it wonderful?

OOTD: How time flies

English:
Phew, this week went by so fast! I've been trying to work hard on my thesis, but baby's making me tired and I've been sleeping a lot to be honest. But I've done enough to take a day off yesterday without feeling guilty about it. I had lunch with a friend and I had been looking so much forward to that - we had a really good time!

Today will be all about my thesis and then the weekend will come; we'll be celebrating the birthday of one of the sweetest little boys I know and getting some stuff done in our new home too. Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend?

Cardigan - Jackie (gifted for review) // Dress - H&M // Bag - Primark

English:
This cardigan was sent to me from Jackie, which is a plus size brand sold at some Supermartkets in Denmark - sizes go to 52 and the prices are great. This one is really, really soft and cozy which makes it just perfect for fall.

OOTD: A day in between

English:
This outfit is from the one day I spent in Aarhus between my vacations in Barcelona and France. I spent the day getting ready for the next trip, but really I spent even more time with two sweet girls from uni drinking coffee.

Here comes the sun

Skirt - Primark / T-shirt - Junarose / Denim jacket - Zizzi / Bag - Adax

English:
Just a really quick OOTD post from a wonderful weekend. My boyfriend just started at his new job, so we made sure to have a weekend with a capital W. Friday evening we watched Disney's Frozen (I'm crazy about that movie!), we had lunch, icecream in the sun and went shopping down town Saturday and we had brunch at "the river" Sunday morning. And then we enjoyed the sun with an oldschool game of yatzy.

OOTD: At the Food Festival

I wore this at the Food Festival last Sunday. You've heard a lot about the festival already so I guess I don't need to tell you more about that. It was a really nice day, although it was a little too windy - you might be able to see that on my hair and my skirt. Well, I guess autumn is on it's way for real now.

Buy what fits - sometimes (sadly) you have to....

T-shirt - H&M

Yesterday I went shopping for purple tops. I joined a wonderful choir and in two weeks I'll be in London doing a few concerts. And I have to wear purple for that. Since I don't have anything purple in my choir I had to find something. Which turned out to be quite difficult because:

1. Purple is not exactly the most popular colour at the moment (unless you really like that pastel purple - and I'm not quite there yet....)

2. Because purple is hard to find even in normal sizes it's even harder in plus size, because this season plus size brands decided to be pretty much on trend. Which is cool. If only I didn't desperately need something purple...

So I was forced to take what I could find in straight sizes, since there was nothing in the plus size ranges I found. And even in straight sizes there weren't much. And since I knew I was going to have a struggle with sizes I didn't have much room to be picky. So I took everything purple with me (well... Almost. Not the pastel ones and the once without any stretch in them). I tried them all on and one of the pieces fit alright.

It didn't exactly make me feel good, because with help from the wonderful plus size community I've learned that I don't have to just take what fits me. There's enough to choose from, so that I can choose what I want to wear. As long as I don't have to buy something very specific. Like a purple top.  The situation yesterday made me feel like an insecure teenager that had to buy what I could fit into and had to not think about if the colour, the cut or if it's on trend or too grandmother-ish.

My point? Well... Hurray for plus size clothes that give us something to pick from, hurray for Us because we remind each other that we have a choice, and..... hurray for clothes with stretch!

Har du set noget pænt lilla for nyligt? Så tip mig gerne.
Have you seen anything pretty and purple lately? Please let me know then!

OOTD: Spring will be here. Soon. I hope.

I don't know why Spring wont stop hiding - but I do know that I don't really like the idea of Winter anymore. So I was really, really happy the other day, when the sun forced me to wear my new sunglasses from H&M. Usually I don't really like sunglasses and I only wear them because my headaches make me wear them. But I'm crazy about this colour right now. So I had to have them. Even though the sun was out it was still soooo cold, so my spring shoes and jacket will have to wait a while longer...

Hvad laver I i påsken? Jeg håber, I nyder den!

I went home to my parent's for Easter, so I'm spending the time with my wonderful family, eating nice food and watching nice series (read: The Pillars of the Earth - I love Eddie Redmayne). It's wonderful. What are you doing for Easter? I hope you enjoy it!

POD: All about Polka Dots

It's the last monday of March and that means that it's Plus Size Outfit Day again! The theme of this month is polka dots and I must admit I started out with panicking. I was never really into dots and I was sure I wouldn't have anything dotty except from a scarf. Then I thought I'd might paint my nails with dots, but I didn't have the time or patience to do so. But then (with the help from my boyfriend) I remembered that I had this old thing, that I was going to recycle. See.. Some days it's a good thing to be a little (well...) slow.

Also - say hi to my new trench coat from Asos Curve. I can't wait for April to get her, because I guess it means I'm going to wear this out in the real world (and London and Amsterdam too).

OOTD: Before it gets dark

I just managed to get these photos taken last Thursday before it was too dark - they are a little blurry because of it, sorry for that! I also managed to have a nice time with a lot of nice people, before I got sick again. I've spend the weekend at work and after that in bed with a fever and a very soar throat - seriously; I just got well and now I'm sick again?! Well.. Except that I'm good. I just got an A in my exam and the new semester just started - this is what I wore to my "first day of school".

Shirt - Asos Curve / Skirt - Asos Curve / Dress worn as top - H&M
Bracelet - Gifted by Annlil

Deltag i min give away lige her.

The shirt and the skirt are absolute favourites at the moment! The bracelet was gifted to me by Annlil and they gave me an extra to give to a lucky reader. You can enter the give away right here.

OOTD: Out of bed

I sengen fire dage i streg. Hmm?

I was in bed for four days last week with the flu. So when I finally had the energy to go for a walk in the nice weather (where did it go?!) I felt like putting on a little lipstick and really leave the "pyjamas"-feeling at home. This outfit kind of reminds me of Beverly Hills. My boyfriend agreed but then said it reminded him of Brandon. Well...?

Dress - H&M / Denim shirt - Asos Curve / Necklace - Urban Outfitters

Today I went back to my master-studies after a few weeks off. And I went to a café with some old friends. Tonight I'll hang out with most of my old study group from anthropology. It'll be great. What are you up to?

OOTD: I blame it on the time

As soon as I saw these pictures I told my boyfriend that he could've told me that my hair looked kind of weird and that my earring turned upside down. One could argue that I could have looked in the mirror before I asked him to take the pictures, but... I guess I didn't feel like I had the time. We were just about to go to the theatre and just wanted to take a few, quick pictures. Guess it went a little too quick.

Anyway! Here's what I wore Thursday:

Cardigan - Zhenzi / Shirt - Nanna XL / Jeans - H&M+
Scarf - Bit'avant / Boots - Roots

OOTD: Ordinary sparkles

I actually just realized, when I told my boyfriend that I wanted him to take pictures of the outfit that I'm wearing today, that my last three (including this) outfit posts are pretty much the same outfit but with different components. What I'm wearing today is also the same - but it's just so comfortable and perfect for autumn. I haven't done any photos of todays outfit yet, since I figured I'm just repeating the same thing in different colours... Anyway! Today I'm wearing cobolt blue and I'm crazy about that colour, so maybe you'll get "bodycon and comfy jumper"-outfit number four one of these days.

Scarf - Bit'avant / Blouse - Zay / Dress (uncerneath) - H&M
Tights - H&M+ / Boots - Roots
I wore this last thursday. I was going to a lecture but was also going for dinner and the theatre later, so the sparkles seemed like a perfect "from day to night" piece.

I need your best advice!

I wore this on friday when I went to school. The jumper from H&M+ is the perfect piece for autumn and winter. It's warm and so, so soft. But there's this one BIG thing... It's linting so much, it's unbelievable. I swear our couch, which is beige on an everyday basis, turns blue, when I wear that jumper. Not to mention our floor, our bed, my school bag, even things in our kitchen...

I'm almost at the point where I'm concidering the jumper's life from now on, but.... It's soooo soft and I love it... and I just want to give it a million chances to be a better jumper. And stop the linting. But we're going crazy here.

What's your best advice for clothes like this? It's from 80% Viscose and 20% Angora.

Jumper - H&M+ / Dress (underneath, this one) - H&M
Scarf - Bit'avant / Necklace - Unknown, bought at Notre Dame in Copenhagen
Boots - Rieker / Tights - H&M+

BFSC Wear something that you normally wouldn't wear

I can't believe this is my last entry for the Big Fat Summer Challenge. It feels sad and good at the same time. Sad because I've been having so much fun with it and good because I'm kinda proud of myself for doing it and pushing my fashion boundaries the way I have. So before we go on to today's outfit I just want to say thank you to everyone who wrote sweet comments along the way, thanks to all the wonderful ladies who took part in the challenge for being an inspiration and thanks to Jennifer for hosting the challenge.

So... At this time in the challenge, to me, it seems a little strange to check of the "something you normally wouldn't wear" just because I've already done that a "million" times before during this challenge. I mean... I did it when I wore a bodycon outfit, I did it when I wore short shorts, I did it when I wore the two piece bikini/swimsuit and the sleeveless and the strappless and the cropped top, the high waisted bottom (especially without my tights) and the "Hi Lo" because of the stripes.

So I thought... What to do now? And I decided to have fun with it - and besides my shoes and my new denim jacket and my new earrings I wore things that have been lying around but haven't been used in ages.

Dress - H&M / Denim Jacket - Zizzi Jeans / Shoes - ShoeBiz
Hat - Trend Accesories / Tights - Salling / Rose on hat - H&M
I normally don't wear dresses that are this short and I normally don't wear bright coloured tights because I think it draws too much attention to my thighs. Also the dress is full of sequins and usually I don't wear too glittery stuff. I normally don't wear really red lipstick and hats because I think it feels and looks too dressed up. And I normally wouldn't wear black nail polish because I've always felt it was for the "cool and brave" girls that don't mind what other people thinks.

Instead of painting my nails all black I did something I normally wouldn't do. I did a... do you call it a manicure even when it's just one nail and when the nail got messed up when I put on my tights? Nail polish is a tricky little devil... Even when you've waited for it since forever to dry, it's never dry enough to put on tights. Anyway! I tried to do a fishbone-print on one nail - inspired by the lovely Mette who's doing all sorts of pretty things on her nails.

I don't know if you can tell how it looks at all from these pictures. I hope you can get the idea, 'cause a close close up is not an option after the sabotage of my tights.

And in the end, to finish this challenge, kisses to all of you for being wonderful!

Oh and by the way we we're so lucky to even get these shots. As we stepped out of our home I said to my boyfriend "Let's just take them here", 'cause I had the feeling that the heavy grey clouds above us weren't going to hang there long. And I was right. We had just stepped inside when the biggest raindrops started banging against our windows. Well, that's just how the Danish summer is.
