POD: All about flowers

Oktober lige rundt om hjørnet og det er mandag og traditionen tro betyder det, at det er tid til Plus Size Outfit Day igen. Denne gang er temaet blomster og har taget en kjole på, som skriger af sommer og en cardigan, som minder om efterår. Det er en rar måde at nyde overgangen mellem årstiderne på, synes jeg. Og for at følge lidt ekstra op på emnet, har jeg også taget en blomsterring på og øreringe med blomsterprint.

Jeg har virkelig set frem til dette indlæg. Der var engang, hvor der sådan cirka var blomster på hvert andet stykke tøj i mit klædeskab. Sådan er det ikke længere, men jeg har stadig en forkærlighed for fine blomsterprints. Men det er også lidt trist. For det her er den sidste Plus Size Outfit dag (i denne omgang i hvert fald - en pige har vel lov at håbe?). Jeg har i hvert fald haft det sjovt med den månedlige begivenhed sammen med de andre piger. 

October is just around the corner and it's monday and that means that it's time for Plus Size Outfit Day again. The theme of the month is "All about flowers" and I put on this dress, which for me screams summer, and a cardigan with an autumn vibe. And I put on a flower ring and earrings with flowers too.

I've been looking forward to this post. Once upon a time almost every second piece of clothing of mine was with some kind of flowerprint. It's not like that now, but I still love a pretty flower print. But it's also kind of sad - today is the last Plus Size Outfit day (for now - I mean... A girl can hope, right?). I've had fun with this and all the other girls, that's for sure.

POD: Picnic in the Park

For nogle måneder siden slog min kæreste til, da han modtog et hammergodt tilbud på en lækker tapas fra Ministeriet, som ligger på Klostertorv i Aarhus. Og på en dejlig lørdag i lækkert solskin nød vi vores fridag  og vores tapas på græsset i Botanisk have. Vores planer passede lige præcis med denne måneds tema for POD (seriøst, er juli allerede gået?!), så jeg har gemt billederne et hemmeligt sted indtil nu. 

A few months ago my boyfriend got a great offer on a really nice tapas from a café in Aarhus. It was a lovely Saturday, a few weeks ago, the sun was shining from a blue-blue sky and we enjoyed our day off and our tapas in the park. The plans we made turned out to fit the theme of this month's POD perfectly so I've been hiding the pictures in a secret place until now.

POD: Wedding Bells

Det er majs sidste mandag og det betyder, at det er tid til Plus Size Outfit-dag igen. I denne måned er temaet  "Bryllupsklokker" - et emne, som står til fri fortolkning; nogle vil nok vise billeder fra deres bryllupsdag, mens andre vil vise, hvad de vil tage på som brudepige. Mig? Jeg er jo ikke gift, så jeg har tænkt over, hvad jeg kunne finde på at tage på som bryllupsgæst. Det afhænger selvfølgelig af festens tema, men jeg har taget udgangspunkt i den slags bryllupper, som jeg umiddelbart selv vil nyde allermest. Jeg har ikke været til bryllup i mange, mange år, men der er ingen tvivl om, at jeg er mest fan af rimeligt stille og rolige, hyggelige fester, der hylder kærlighed og rart samvær mellem mennesker, som holder af hinanden. Og derfor synes jeg altså, at det her outfit passer til den slags bryllup, som jeg allerhelst vil til! 

It's the last monday of May and it means it time for Plus Size Outfit Day yet again. The theme of this month is Wedding Bells - and the  theme quite open. Some might post pictures of their wedding day, some might dress up as bride maids, me? Since I'm not married, I've been thinking about what kind of outfit I would wear if I was going to a wedding as a guest. It all depends on the theme of the party, I know, but I chose to dress according to the kind of weddings I like! I haven't been at a wedding for several years, but there's no doubt that I like the relaxed kind of wedding parties best - you know; parties with love at the center and just having a good time with people who care about eachother.  It doesn't have to be all fancy and over the top - just cosy and relaxed. And I think this outfit would go for at wedding like that!

POD - All about accessories

Okay - so several things were strange about yesterdays quick shoot for todays Plussize Outfit Day. First of all I've been SUPER busy lately and I just got home from Amsterdam and totally forgot about POD being just around the corner. So I'll admit it; this happened rather quickly.

Another thing is: I don't really see myself as an accessories kinda girl - not big or many accessories anyway. So I didn't really know what to do this time.

So I started out with a black top and a black maxiskirt. And a bit of mascara. Nothing else. Nothing special. Then I went inside again and threw on some things. And went outside again - and then some more strange things happened. I was very tired from arriving in Copenhagen late last night and then waking up early at my boyfriend's brother's house to get to the bus and go all the way back to Aarhus. Then when we arrived in Aarhus we went straight to my boyfriend's parents to spend the day with his family. So suddenly my bag flew out of my hands and my neighbour opened his door (and no - I'm still not used to people seeing us taking pictures of me). 

Anyway! This is what I did. A blue jacket (I'll let myself call it an accesorie!), a (flying) bag and a statement necklace. And then I went inside as soon as my neighbour walked out...

POD: All about Polka Dots

Det er sidste marts-mandag for i år og det betyder, at det er Plus Size Outfit-dag. Månedens tema er polkaprikker og jeg må indrømme, at jeg begyndte med at gå lidt i panik, for jeg har egentlig aldrig været helt vild med prikker. Og jeg var faktisk overbevist om, at jeg ikke havde noget prikket liggende overhovedet. Overvejede i stedet at lave prikkede negle, men det gik helt galt, fordi jeg havde for travlt. Men så kom jeg i tanke om, at jeg havde en gammel prikket sag, som faktisk var på vej til genbrug. Se, nogle dage gavner det at være lidt (ahem, meget...) langsom i optrækket. 

Sig forresten pænt hej til min nye trench coat fra Asos Curve. Jeg glæder mig utroligt meget til april, fordi det forhåbentligt betyder, at jeg kan begynde at bruge den ude i den virkelige verden (og London og Amsterdam). 

It's the last monday of March and that means that it's Plus Size Outfit Day again! The theme of this month is polka dots and I must admit I started out with panicking. I was never really into dots and I was sure I wouldn't have anything dotty except from a scarf. Then I thought I'd might paint my nails with dots, but I didn't have the time or patience to do so. But then (with the help from my boyfriend) I remembered that I had this old thing, that I was going to recycle. See.. Some days it's a good thing to be a little (well...) slow. 

Also - say hi to my new trench coat from Asos Curve. I can't wait for April to get her, because I guess it means I'm going to wear this out in the real world (and London and Amsterdam too).

POD: Date outfit

Hej skønne mennesker. Det er den sidste mandag i måneden (yay - kan I lugte foråret? Jeg kan næsten, selvom det har sneet i dag) og det betyder, at det atter er tid til en Plus Size Outfit-dag. I anledning af, at februar byder på Valentines dag, er temaet denne gang et date-outfit. Jeg har flere gange postet billeder fra kærestedates, f.eks. her og her, men jeg har ikke et outfit fra Valentines dag, for vi fejrer det ikke. I stedet sørger vi jævnligt for at have hyggelige dage sammen og den slags - og det synes jeg er vigtigere end alt andet. Dette outfit er sådan set ikke fra en kæreste-date, det havde jeg på igår, da jeg var til koncert med min søster. En søster-date kan altså være noget af det bedste i verden. Men lur mig om ikke også det ville have været fin til en kæreste-date - eller en 1. date for den sags skyld; jeg kan i hvert fald godt lide, at kjolens farve er sjov og at jakken giver det lidt kant. Kjolen er forresten den, jeg købte i Hamburgs Kuvenhaus.

Hello beautiful people! It's the last monday of February (yay, do you smell Spring too? I almost do, even though it was supercold and snowing today) and it means that it's time for another Plus Size Outfit Day. Because February brings along Valentine's day the theme is "An Enchanting date outfit. I've posted several outfits from dates with my boyfriend, like here and here, but I haven't got an outfit from Valentine's to show you, simply because we didn't do anything. We don't celebrate it (my boyfriend told me that the small gift I got was from Cupid), instead we make sure to spend lovely days together every once in a while - and that's more important to me. This outfit is not from a boyfriend-date either, I wore it yesterday when I was at a concert with my sister. Sister-dates are also one of the best types of dates! But it would have been perfect for a boyfriend-date too - or a 1. date; I really like how the colour of the dress makes it fun and the jacket gives it all a bit of an edge. The dress is by the way what I bought in Kurvenhaus Hamburg.

POD: Stylish Work Outfit

Så er årets første måned næsten gået og det er mandag, så det betyder at det er tid til månedes Plus Size Outfit Day - hvis du ikke har hørt om konceptet før, så kan du læse mere om det her. Da jeg hørte månedens tema tænkte jeg, at det ikke kunne blive alt for svært at komme op med et stilet arbejds-outfit - jeg arbejder trods alt i en tøjforretning. Men da jeg så kiggede mit skab igennem, blev jeg alligevel overrasket over, hvor meget hverdagstøj jeg har gået i på arbejde på det sidste. Da jeg startede med at stå i butik syntes jeg, at det var alletiders at være pænt klædt på hver gang. Nu er det bare rart med en praktisk sweatshirt - men hvem har egentlig sagt, at det ikke kan være stilet? 

Personligt er jeg ret glad for det her outfit. Jeg mener: Hvem kan ikke lide fred? Neon-detaljerne er ganske vist ret grænseoverskridende for mig, men jeg kan ret godt lide dem. Og så passer det også utroligt godt til "begge" mine jobs. Mit arbejde i butikken er kun et par gange i ugen - alle andre dage er jeg studerende. Perfekt til begge dele. 

The first year of the month has almost gone by and it's Monday which means it's time for the Plus Size Outfit Day - if you haven't heard about the concept before you can read more about it here. When I heard of the theme for this month I thought it wouldn't be too difficult to come up with a stylish outfit for work. I mean... I work in a clothing store. But that was until I took a look in my closet and realized that lately I've been buying casual clothes for casual days (and when I'm at work I need to wear clothes from work obviously). When I started working there I thought it was awesome to be able to dress up every time I went to work. Now, at least sometimes, I think it's really nice to be casual and practical in a comfy sweatshirt. But then again - who says that can't be stylish?

 Personally I really like this outfit. I mean... Who doesn't like peace? And even though the neon details are a new thing for me I really like them. And the outfit fits quite good for "both" of my jobs. My job in the store is just a few hours a week - all other days I' a student. Perfect for both. 

Undskyld for at jeg snakker så meget! Nu må I hellere komme videre og tjekke alle de andre smukke kvinder ud - hvad har de mon på på arbejde?
