Insta-faves

I'm on vacation and my computer is staying at home. My phone isn't and who knows - my vacation memories might be featured on Instagram!

No matter what: Here are a few of my Instragram faves of the moment:

Travelling the world (... or Europe...)

Right now I should be off to Hamburg (and probably really really bored in a bus. Also if you're wondering why I'm not responding/publishing comments etc. it's because my computer is taking the next few days off). So let's thank the fact, that I figured out how to do planned posts. I've never been that kinda girl, that travelled the world and visited a new country every year with my family. We just always had other priorities and visited beautiful places in Denmark instead.

In my teenage years I went out of the country for the first time ever and went to the ever beautiful Scotland. Later on I visited Rome, Russia, Scotland again, Russia again, Estonia, France, London and London again. So it's not that I haven't seen anything at all, it's just that there's too many places I still want to see. Luckily I'm still young and kinda free and this year I'm checking three places off of my list: Hamburg, Berlin and last week I planned a trip to Barcelona with my sister.

I can't wait to get to Germany and I can't wait to get to Spain. I can't help to love this summer!

If you have any tips for Barcelona; don't be a stranger!

BFSC Wear a high waisted bottom

The sun is finally here (but the weather man says it'll be gone tomorrow....) so I took the opportunity and threw this outfit together when I got back home from a wonderful afternoon, which I spend in town with a friend and "her" two little boys (guess I need to tell you, that she's a fulltime nanny, just to get that clear). I changed clothes because:

1. What I was wearing before was a bit too hot for a walk with my boyfriend
2. I wanted to post another outfit for the Big Fat Summer Challenge before I'm going to Germany
3. I'm trying to figure out what I'm throwing in my suitcase for the trip. This might be an option!
4. I wanted to show you my legs again... Oh wait; that wasn't one of my reasons, but you sure have been seeing a lot of my pale legs lately!

Cardigan - Zhenzi / T-shirt - (very old) HM / Skirt - Carmakoma /
Bag - Friis & Company / Shoes - ShoeBiz

It's the first time I've been wearing this skirt without tights and I never even thought I would do that. But I figured it's a waste to put it in the back of my closet, just because it's too hot for tights. And I also figured that the reason I joined this challenge in the beginning was that I wanted to challenge my self and experiment with my outfits - so here it goes!

And last but not least; a close up to show off my new lipstick. I've been looking for an "everyday"-red since forever and I (well... actually my boyfriend) found it the other day. I'm so happy about it! Next step; Do something about my hair! I'm tired of it almost every day, because it has that lenght just in between where it's hard to style, because it's either too long or too short. And because my hairdresser forgot to cut it thin enough and therefore it takes forever to dry or straighten. And because the tips of my hair have their own lifes and wont stop pointing in every direction. I can't quite figure out if I should get a haircut, let it grow long, colour it or.... Well, I don't know. If you have any ideas please say so! At least I like the braid I did today.

Oh well; with this post I'm checking off the fourth challenge. Almost halfway!

On forgetting things

I was planning on featuring a few pictures from the last few days in the post about the "two pieced bikini" that became a swimsuit. However I got caught up in ramblings about buying/trying/wearing/going to the beach in swimwear and totally forgot about the pictures not including very white, Scandinavian skin. However, I guess, it's never really too late - so here you go; a few memories from Instagram, documenting nice days by the sea.

BFSC Wear a two piece bikini

Second Big Fat Summer Challenge post of the day! Feel like I'm falling behind all the other girls and looking at a few weeks of travelling great cities of Europe I guess I have to speed things up just a bit. Anyway! This is the challenge that freaked me out the most when I signed up for this. I actually made a deal with the fabulous hostess of the challenge, Jennifer of Jasifer lionsclub, that I would probably swap the "two piece bikini" with a "swimsiut", because I had just ordered my first swimsuit in years. At least a one I actually really wanted for my self.

And now, before you read on, I will have to warn you about me living in Denmark. Denmark is a wonderful country in many ways, but sometimes it seems someone forgets about the Danes when it comes to summer sun. So I would like to warn you of very, very pale Scandinavian jiggly bits. With that being said:

So I entered the challenge and couldn't quite kick the idea of a two piece bikini out of my head. I had just ordered a swimsuit and being a student I don't really have a lot of money to spend on impulsive thoughts, so I thought about it some more... And I tried on a two piece bikini. It wasn't the worst thing I've done. But the style wasn't quite for me, especially because the top didn't support my (quite big...) girls at all. However I did take a picture of it (even though the quality of the picture isn't all that great - but it's there), as a prove that I gave it a lot of thought.

And even though I'm not going to rock the bikini at the beach this year I posted a picture of myself in a bikini online. I guess that counts for something. At least I know it was quite a big step for me even taking the bikini of the shelfs! Maybe I will save up some money and buy a more expensive bikini next year with lots of support for whatever needs to be supported....

Swimsuit - Very.com
I am planning to go to the beach this year: and this is what I will be wearing. I went to the beach a few days ago when the sun was out. And even though the water was cold and I'm not very fond of water at all I went in. And I felt great in my new swimsuit. Not even for one second did I worry that anything would pop out to say hello. I can't wait to go to the beach in Barcelona in this suit.

I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to post this last picture, but my boyfriend/photographer liked it so much and said: "I can just tell you're glowing in this suit from this picture!". I'm more tempted to notice the funny, crooked face I'm making because of the sun blinding me... But I guess the photographer has a say in this too!

BFSC Wear short shorts

I spend the last few days in my boyfriends family's vacation house by the sea. We were lucky enough to see the sun for some of the time (but we were also stuck inside due to the pouring rain at times), and we had a wonderful time walking around in the most beautiful little town called Ebeltoft and babysitting my boyfriends cute little nephew.

The vacation house by the sea also means; pretty much no internet! So I left my computer at home, but asked my boyfriend to bring his camera so I could put a few outfit posts together for Jennifers Big Fat Summer Challenge when I got back home. And here I am!

Shorts - HM+ / Shirt - New Look Inspire / Top (underneath) - Nanna Xl
Sandals - Ecco / Watch - Urban Outfitters

I wore this outfit to Ebeltoft. The sun was out, we had amazing tapas at the cutest little restaurant and just had a great time. I bought these shorts on sale last week. I'm in love with the blue colour at the time so I liked the shorts right away. When I found my size on sale I couldn't resist.

So I bought the shorts. Even though I had my doubts - would I even wear them? For the longest time I have been a skirt/dress kinda girl, and I didn't were any kind of pants for several years. Also I had a few years of not wearing anything but tights afraid of showing of my legs, I guess. Anyway; here I am, growing up, wearing jeans regularly - and shorts too! I have a feeling I'm going to live in these this summer. Love 'em! I guess, the term "short shorts" is relative - but to me this is short shorts, since it's the first time for me in ages wearing something above the knee.
